National Essay Competition for School Students and Students on the Theme: "Through Physics We Discover and Change the World"

The competition is part of the events included in the National Plan to mark the International Year of Fundamental Sciences for Sustainable Development (https://iybssd.bg/).
Authors should indicate after the title of their essay their names, the name, e-mail and contact telephone number of the supervisor of the chosen topic, the class and the educational institution given with address and postal code. Essays without this one
information will not be considered by the jury.
The text of the essays must be up to 4 pages in Word for Windows format, Times New Roman font, 12 rt, 1 line spacing. It is mandatory to indicate the sources of the information used (books, sites, publications and
т.н.).
Essays are sent by e-mail to the address: physconfedu@phys.uni-sofia.bg (indicate as Subject: "essay competition").
Deadline: 27.02.2023
By participating in the contest, the author agrees to grant free of charge the right to have his work classified, selected, displayed on various Internet resources, shared on social networks, printed and exhibited for the needs of the contest and subsequent events organized in connection with it.
Essays will be judged by a competent jury. The essays awarded with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes in the three age groups (6-8th graders, 9th-12th graders and students) will be printed in a brochure for the Youth Scientific Session, which will be uploaded to the websites of the Union of Physicists in Bulgaria and on the European Night of Scientists 2023.
Essays selected by the competition jury, presenting the activities and achievements of Bulgarian scientists - our contemporaries, on the topic of the competition, will be printed in issue 13 of the publication "Homo Sciens" (ISSN 1312 8884), publication under the "European Night of Scientists 2023" project.
The results of the competition will be announced on May 31, 2023 on the website of the Union of Physicists in Bulgaria, and the time and place of the awarding will be announced further.
