"The path of light" - a path of candles, with which community center "Buditelite 2017" marks every year the National day of the Enlighteners - November 1st, this year will turn into a torchlight procession. Young people from the Youth Center - Gabrovo also participate in the event, and the procession will begin immediately after the official celebration in front of the Vasil Aprilov monument at 5:30 p.m. - as a continuation of the path of candles.
The young people, transformed into Renaissance personalities or revivalists from different periods of Gabrovo's history, will lead the guests to eight points in the central part of the city. There they will be told interesting facts from the history of the city, the lives of these personalities and their contribution to culture and education in Gabrovo and Bulgaria in general.The torchlight procession will end in the courtyard of the Interactive Museum of Industry with a piano and violin concert and 3D mapping dedicated to Gabrovo's industrialists.
Among Gabrovo's revivalists we will see Petar Tsonchev - doctor, writer, local historian and donor, Nikola Palauzov, merchant, donor to the Gabrovo school and associate of Vasil Aprilov, the sculptor Lyubomir Dalchev, author of the monument to Racho Kovacha and the statues on the "Igoto" bridge, the founders of Women's charitable society "Mother's Care" - teachers and educated citizens, Gabrovo manufacturers who turn our city into a leading industrial center.All of them will light a torch, a symbol of the light they bring to Bulgaria - through education, social activities, donations, art, entrepreneurship.
