A spring break full of initiatives awaits Gabrovo high school students, thanks to the Youth Center - Gabrovo. Various activities are planned to bring the young people fun, the opportunity for new acquaintances, new knowledge and personal development.
The vacation starts on Saturday with a social evening. The Youth Center will be playing board games and munching popcorn, with good music and chatter.
On Sunday, there is a challenge for those who successfully fight the time change. Determined to excel in the Etar Museum's scarecrow competition, the youth workers have organised a workshop for bostan scarecrows. Those wishing to participate are invited with any outlandish crow scare gadgets they think to bring.
The actual holiday days 1, 2 and 3 April start with three workshops aimed at the development of young people and their more active participation in the life of the city and its decision-making. They cover topics such as youth advocacy, communication with institutions and the power of youth organisations. Young people will learn how to develop and implement their ideas, how to seek supporters and who to turn to in different situations with their demands and proposals. A small art workshop is planned for each of the seminars.
On April 2, the reading club "Bookworms" at the Youth Center - Gabrovo will visit the "Mickey Mouse" Kindergarten, where the youngsters will introduce the small lovers of fairy tales to the works of their favorite contemporary Bulgarian children's authors.
The days 3,4 and 5 April will pass under the title - "Three days - three arts". Together with the art therapist Kalin Petkov the young people will be engaged in photography, heraldic and clay work, and through the three arts they will find out more about themselves and their strengths.
The afternoon of April 5th is dedicated to psychology and yoga practices for stress management.
All events organised by the Youth Center - Gabrovo are free of charge but require registration. They are aimed at young people aged 14 to 22. The registration form can be accessed via the Youth Center - Gabrovo website - youth.gabrovo.bg and the Center's social networks - Facebook and Instagram.

What is youth advocacy and how do you communicate with the institutions, we will discuss together what project or initiative you would like to implement on the territory of Gabrovo?
We will learn more about the exciting example of the association TAM from Veliko Tarnovo and how much courage and dreams are needed to create the festival "48 hours Varusha South".
The day will end with an art workshop.

2 APRIL (TUESDAY)
11:00 World Children's Book Day with the Book Lovers Club "Bookworms" at the Youth Center - Gabrovo - we will read fairy tales in a kindergarten "Mickey Mouse" in the town of Gabrovo.
10:00 -17:00 Training "Leadership in Action"
You'll hear the story of a dance ensemble and the most danceable hotel in Veliko Tarnovo, get a peek into the kitchen at Uzana Polyana Fest, and in the afternoon we'll take a walk to the Umnik School in the Sixth Ward.
The day will end with an art workshop.

3 APRIL (WEDNESDAY).
10:00 -17:00 Training "The Power of Youth Organisations"
You will hear interesting examples from Europe and Bulgaria, as well as how a group of young people created the Chatama Forest Center in the Rhodope Mountains and started the "Beglika" festival.
The day will end with an art workshop.
