For the second year in a row, Gabrovo becomes part of the largest traveling book exhibition "Book Alley". In the days from June 8 to 11, the event will bring together representatives of leading Bulgarian publishing houses and will give the audience the opportunity to meet authors of literature for children and adults.
This year, the tents of the book exhibition, which will last until Sunday, will be located on the pedestrian street "Radecka". And in the "Clay Pots" kindergarten, there will be a literary corner for conversations with the authors and an accompanying program. The Gabrovo audience and guests of the city can expect interesting meetings with Donika Rizova, Neda Antonova, Mirela Ivanova, Nikola Chalakov and Radostina Nikolova.
"Book Alley" is officially opened on June 8 (Thursday) in 12:00 p.m with a concert by the Gabrovo Orchestra. The working hours of the exhibition on the opening day - Thursday are from 12:00 to 19:00, on Friday and Saturday - from 09:00 to 19:00, and on Sunday - from 09:00 to 14:00.
A creative workshop with Mirela Ivanova is planned especially for young lovers of books and writing. Poet, translator, screenwriter of several films, columnist in various print publications and host of her own commentary section on Deutsche Welle radio, teacher at SU "St. Kliment Ohridski" in the Master's program "Translator-Editor", she is a person with both extensive experience and endless talent, from whom young writers have much to learn. Don't miss meeting her on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
Don't turn your back on the survey, which will be conducted by the interns from the "Bulgarian Book" Association and the volunteers from the reading club at the Gabrovo Youth Center. Her goal is to make the event even more liked by the public by meeting the expectations she has for it.
"Book Alley" is organized in partnership between the Municipality of Gabrovo and the Regional Library "Aprilov - Palauzov" with the Association "Bulgarian Book" and with the financial support of the National Fund "Culture" under the program "One Year Grant 2022".

A dramatization of the classic fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. The actors fascinatingly recreate the story of Hansel and his sister Gretel, who manage to trick the evil witch, and then return home safely. The event is intended for children.
