For the Gabrovo Carnival, there will be a new CULT place - rich in energy and mood. Besides the fact that Gabrovo is in the center of Bulgaria, the people of Gabrovo have decided to show their skills and "transfer" the best-preserved megalithic structure in our country from the village of Dolni Glavanak to their territory and in their own way - by recycling.
The initiative is called "Challenge yourself" and is dedicated to the European Year of Skills 2023. The organizers are the Municipality of Gabrovo, the Regional Information Center, Europe directly Gabrovo and the Youth Center of the Municipality of Gabrovo.
The event will take place on May 13, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the central street "Radecka", where representatives of various organizations and institutions will demonstrate skills, knowledge and talent. Right there, in a separate space, you will be able to get involved in the construction and painting of the "Gabrovsky Cromlech". In the creative workshop, the performers will be the Encaustic School, who will also be your mentors if you decide to challenge yourself by learning a new skill for you. The art installation will be made of old barrels, which with the help of artistic skills will have a new look in an urban environment.
The Municipality of Gabrovo will be involved with the Green Challenge and with the provision of planting material - different types of flowers, in the planting of which you can get involved on the spot, in addition, you will be able to get advice from OP "Greening" for proper growing of your plants. In a specially designated place, you will be able to accumulate knowledge on the topic of climate neutrality, which you can develop into skills so that each of us, with our actions, has our own contribution.
The team of the Regional Information Center - Gabrovo will organize an open stand where they will introduce visitors to the possibilities of financing projects with European funds and how EU funding can help develop the necessary skills.
Representatives of social services for children and adults will present at a stand, works made by themselves to show the attendees their skills and social commitment.
The event will also have an appropriate musical arrangement - with their angelic voices, the winners of numerous national and international awards - the children from the "Upstream voices" vocal formation - will show their exceptional talent.
If you want to be positively charged for the Carnival week, come on May 13 on "Radecka" street to the "Clay pots" kindergarten and become part of the construction of the "Gabrovskiya Cromlech".
The event is part of the General campaign of the network of 27 regional information centers to promote their work and expert functions, as well as the Cohesion Policy of the European Union.
