Project "Increasing digital literacy among young people for the purpose of cybercrime prevention"

The non-profit association "Active Citizens for Public Development" is a beneficiary of the project "Increasing digital literacy among young people in order to prevent cybercrimes", funded by the Erasmus + program of the European Union. As part of the project activities, a 7-day academy was held in the town of Primorsko, where 44 young people aged between 15 and 24 were trained.

The main goal of the project is to increase digital literacy among young people, thereby reducing the risk of being a victim of cybercrime. This led to the full participation of young people and helped them to cope with the challenges that the new, digital world presents to them. By participating in the project, young people learned skills for safe surfing in the Internet space, improved the protection of their personal data, got acquainted with the learning and work opportunities that digital technologies provide.

Guest speakers at the event were prominent experts in the field of cyber security: GDBOP inspectors, psychologists, online coaching trainers, etc.

After the completion of the training modules on the relevant topics, a Digital Brochure was produced containing the tips brought out during the Cyber Security Flying Academy by the participants themselves. The brochure is intended for civically active persons and young people, and we provide it at your disposal for information and distribution.
