With more than 200 candles, the people of Gabrovo created a path of light on the occasion of November 1 - Day of The Awakeners , connecting two emblematic places in the city - the monument to Vasil Aprilov and the Aprilov - Palauzov Regional Library. The Gabrovo Youth Center joined the event, which is traditionally organized by the People's Community Center "Buditeli 2017", this year.
The young people took on the role of time travelers - storytellers and led a torchlight procession, with which they connected iconic and little-known places and personalities in the city, which are connected with its enlightenment and culture.The procession ended in the courtyard of the Gabrovo Interactive Museum of Industry, where it was greeted by piano and violin performances, after which the facade of the museum turned into a 3D mapping screen dedicated to Gabrovo industrialists. It was created by 21-year-old Mirian Metodieva and is her debut in the visual arts.
The places where the procession stopped to listen to the stories of the young people were the monument of local historian Petar Tsonchev, the Theater, the Bridge of Crafts, the monument of Nikola Palauzov, the sculpture "Youth with pigeons" by Iva Hadjieva, the "Igoto" bridge, the memorial plaque, which marks the founding of the Women's Charitable Society "Maičina Grija", the monument of daskal Tsviatko Samardzhiev, the building of The Museum of Industry.The director of the theater Petko Koichev, ladies from the "Maternal Care" Charitable Society, the tour guides at the museum, who made the trip even richer and more interesting, joined their stories.
