On May 20, young people from the reading club "Bookworms" at the Gabrovo Youth Center visited the department "Collection, processing and catalogues" of the RB "Aprilov-Palauzov". The purpose of this visit was to get acquainted with the main moments in the library processing of books and documents, initially coming into the library's funds. The young people had the opportunity to take a look inside, behind the walls of the Aprilov-Palauzov Library and to understand what kind of work it takes to keep the whole system running.
In library processing, each book receives an inventory number under which it is located in the library's inventory book, receives a signature that generally defines its contents and its place in the library's collection, structured into 10 divisions of knowledge according to Melville Dewey's library classification, the significance of the red and blue ink on the signatures, and much more.
