ANNOUNCING A COMPETITION FOR THE POSITION OF "YOUTH WORKER" AT YOUTH CENTER GABROVO
Characteristics of the position "Youth worker"
- The work of the youth worker is based on commitment, dedication and support for the personal development of young people, equality and non-discrimination, social inclusion. The realization of these principles is through various social, cultural, sports, educational and civic programs and activities conducted by, for and together with young people.
- Supports youth volunteering.
- In his work, he knows the similarities and differences between formal and informal education.
- Understands the specifics of youth work as an area belonging to extracurricular education and offering various activities for personal development and making sense of free time.
- It encourages the full participation of young people in the civic, political and economic life of local communities.
- Works to build successful cooperation with public institutions and non-governmental organizations at the local, national and international level.
- Participates actively and responsibly in trainings and activities aimed at exchanging experience and knowledge between organizations and youth centers in Bulgaria, the donor countries of the FM of the EEA, etc.

Minimum requirements for holding the position:
- completed higher education with educational and qualification degree "Bachelor";
- to be proficient in written and spoken English;
- good computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, social networks and the Internet);
- to be Bulgarian citizens, citizens of another European Union member state, of another state party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, or of the Swiss Confederation;
- have reached the age of majority;
- not to be condemned.
Specific requirements for holding the position:
- to have communication skills - to induce participation, encourage and interact with young people, including children and young people from vulnerable groups (persons with disabilities, Roma, single mothers, etc.), with representatives of the local community, organizations and institutions;
- to have presentation skills - free, attractive and engaging communication with young people, including children and young people from vulnerable groups (persons with disabilities, Roma, single mothers, etc.), presentation and defense of ideas and proposals;
- to have organizational skills - to plan and organize the execution of their daily tasks independently and together with other team members.

Method of conducting the competition - in two stages:
- First stage – verification of the documents submitted by the candidates;
- Second stage - verification of knowledge of the English language and an interview to establish the personal qualities of the candidates - communication, good reasoning, ability to present and present ideas well, motivation for work.
Method of evaluating candidates
Candidates are evaluated by a committee appointed by order of the Mayor of Gabrovo Municipality.
- First stage – the commission examines each received application and its compliance with the requirements of the competition. Only candidates who fully meet the minimum requirements specified in the announcement are allowed to participate in the second stage. The commission prepares a protocol and lists of admitted and non-admitted candidates, which are published on the website of the Municipality of Gabrovo, no later than 5 days after the deadline for submitting applications for participation in the competition, by which the candidates are considered notified;
- Second stage - a commission checks the candidates' knowledge of the English language and conducts an interview to establish the personal qualities of the candidates.
Necessary documents for participation in the competition:
- Application for participation in a competition for the position - free text. The application must contain the names of the applicant; the position you are applying for and a contact phone number.
- CV with a recent photograph (European format);
- Copies of documents proving completed education;

The amount of the gross salary is as follows:
