Young people from the Gabrovo Youth Centre, students from the Professional Technical High School "Dr. Nikola Vasiliadi" - Gabrovo and the Professional High School of Tourism "Pencho Semov" had the opportunity to participate in an interactive CRE8 Workshop, under the project "Alliance of Regional Innovation Ecosystems, based on smart specialization strategies" (ARIES4), which jointly involved Gabrovo Municipality, Technical University - Gabrovo, RIC "Ambitious Gabrovo", in partnership with local business companies and universities from Spain, Sweden and Denmark.
Within nearly 6 hours, students from professional high schools, together with students from the Technical University - Gabrovo, received a short training in pitching on the NABC model (Need, Approach, Benefits, Competition), how to present a project in the best way, to highlight its strengths, to synthesize the best and most marketable of it to generate interest among potential financial partners. The participants also had a closer look at the work process and production of the Gabrovo company Mechatronics AD.
Then, the young people were presented with a specific problem of Gabrovo business "How to attract and retain young talented engineers graduated from the Technical University of Gabrovo", requiring them to propose creative solutions of a social nature. Divided into 4 teams, the participants had 5 minutes to present their ideas and then had to answer questions from the jury. Numerous ideas were generated to tackle the given challenge and we believe that the business representatives took away with them at least one good idea to incorporate into their work.
