International photography and drawing competition dedicated to World Water Day - March 22 XVI another edition
STATUTE
The contest takes part in
"Program of measures for the protection of children
with outstanding gifts in the Municipality of Ruse for 2023"
The competition fully follows the themes set by the UN for each year. Award-winning works are sent to the UN headquarters in Geneva, where they can be honored or participate in an online exhibition!
Youth Home - RUSE organizes this competition for the 16th year in a row, because for us the Earth and nature are important!
- GOALS:
The purpose of the competition is, on the one hand, to develop the talent, imagination, and skills of young artists, and on the other hand, to understand the importance of water FOR LIFE ON THE PLANET. Each of the participants must express their position, thoughts and feelings related to the various aspects of the application of water and its importance for our lives, for the protection of its purity, for the water cycle in nature, for access to drinking water and natural resources, and understand se, for her extraordinary beauty. The theme of the competition for 2023, as in all editions so far, is the theme set by the United Nations. Each year it examines a different aspect of the water resource. This year the focus is on accelerating change in attitude, action, conservation and understanding of the value of water across the earth.

- IV. CONDITIONS AND ORDER OF PARTICIPATION:
IV.1. DRAWING COMPETITION: three age groups:
- from I to IV class
- from V to VII class
- from VIII to XII class
DRAWING EVALUATION CRITERIA:
- Adherence to basic compositional rules and color understanding
- Sticking to the starting points of the topic
- Innovation in means of expression
- Originality in the interpretation of the subject
- Drawings requirements: the size should be 35/50cm! Number of drawings – up to 2 per participant
- Technique – no limit, all favorite techniques of choice.
IV.2. PHOTO CONTEST:
- Young people aged 14 to 30 can participate.
CRITERIA FOR EVALUATING PHOTOGRAPHS:
- Sticking to the starting points of the topic
- Adherence to basic compositional rules and color understanding
- Originality in the interpretation of the subject
- Photography requirements: minimum photo size of 3600/4800 pixels.

1. For sending a photograph, in the link for filling out the registration form, you must also add a file with the photograph/picture with which you will participate in the contest!
2. For a drawing, you need to fill out the registration form and send your drawing by mail!

1. On the back of each work, fill in information about the author of the work: name, city, class, years, contact phone!

In the e-mail to the works, the authors must write the following data:
*name and surname
*participant's country and city

– The works and copyrights become the property of the contest organizers at the moment of their submission for participation.
VII. JURYING, CLASSIFICATION, AWARDING
- The works will be evaluated by a competent jury composed of professionals in each of the individual fields.
– The jury's decision is final.
Ranking for drawing:
In each of the three age groups, I, II, III place and incentives are awarded.
Ranking for photography:
I, II, III place and incentives.
Special prizes are awarded in both fields – drawing and photography.
Prize fund: medal, diploma and subject prizes related to the nature of the competition.
An official awarding of the awarded works will take place on World Water Day - March 22, 2023, in the building of the Youth Center - Ruse, at 6 p.m.
The prizes of the awarded participants outside Ruse will be sent by mail at the expense of the recipient.

DEADLINE FOR RECEIVING THE WORKS: 10 март 2023 г.
Announcement of the results on the Facebook page of the Youth Home − Ruse and the page of Online contests Youth Home – Rousse and opening of an exhibition with the awarded works: March 22, 2023.
IMPORTANT:
Prizes that are mailed will be at the recipient's expense!
Please regularly monitor the Facebook page of the Youth Center - Ruse, as well as your personal email, submitted by you in your registration form, where we will inform you of all news and changes, if any, as well as all information related to the competition.
