Youth Center - Gabrovo, through the Youth Projects Funding Program, announces a photo contest on the theme "Christmas in the District 6".
Young people aged 14-29 from the municipality of Gabrovo are eligible to participate, and photos are accepted in two directions:
- Reportage and event photography
- Art photography
Regulation
Photos must be taken only in the District 6 neighborhood in Gabrovo in the period December 18-31, 2022 and to reflect its spirit, history, life, people, everyday life, potential, through the prism of the theme "Christmas in the District 6. During the month of December, there will be interesting Christmas events and initiatives happening in the neighborhood that photographers could use to capture their shots. The neighborhood will be festively decorated, and the culmination of events will be on December 21, 22 and 23. (A schedule of events in the District 6 can be found here.)
Technical requirements for photos
Files must be in .jpg, .jpeg or .png format, over 2000 pixels on the long side and a minimum size of 3 MB and have a title in Bulgarian. The photos must be copyrighted and taken during the specified period in the District 6 neighborhood in Gabrovo. When selecting frames for an exhibition, authors should have files suitable for printing with a size of 1.3 / 0.9 m.
Additional photo processing is allowed.
Each author has the right to participate in each of the categories with one photo.

When sending, please write information about the author: three names, city, years and phone number, category in which the photo belongs.

The deadline for sending the photos is 11:59 p.m. on January 6, 2023
Announcement of nominees and winners.
All photos will be uploaded to a Facebook album on the page of the Youth Center - Gabrovo.
The winners will be announced by January 16, 2023
The nominated photographs will participate in an exhibition that will be opened in January 2023 inDistrict 6”.
Awards
First prize in the section "Reportage and event photography" - a trip to Norway in 2023 to participate in a youth exchange, together with the Youth Center - Gabrovo.
First prize in the "Art" section - a trip to Norway in 2023, for participation in a youth exchange, together with the Youth Center - Gabrovo.
Incentive prizes from the Youth Center - Gabrovo - t-shirts, backpacks, cups, external memory, portable speakers.
Inclusion in an exhibition in the District 6 of the best photographs and a certificate of participation.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners during the opening of the exhibition.
!!! The organizers reserve the right not to emit a winner in any of the categories due to lack of participants or low quality photographs.

Youth Center-Gabrovo is not responsible for the authorship of the photo and claims by third parties.
In case people are captured in the photograph, the author declares their consent for publication.
Entrants agree to be publicized and photographed during the award ceremony and exhibition opening
