A three-day event marked the beginning of the work on establishing a youth parliament in Gabrovo. Nearly 50 participants from all high schools and Technical University - Gabrovo joined the working groups that had to determine what its powers would be, how its members would be chosen, what their goals would be, who they would work with.
Representatives of the youth parliaments in Ruse, Stara Zagora and Plovdiv joined the work, presenting their structure, work, successful examples, but also problems and failures.
The event was personally opened by the mayor of Gabrovo, Mrs. Tanya Hristova, and at the finale, when the young people presented what they had done during the three days, representatives of the Municipality of Gabrovo, the Municipal Council - Gabrovo, the Regional Department of Education, the Youth Mediator, the Municipal Council on Narcotic Drugs were also present. substances and the Preventive Information Center at the Municipality of Gabrovo, pedagogical advisers at the high schools, Center for Personal Development Support "Career Orientation - Gabrovo", Rotary Club Gabrovo, etc. They all expressed their support for the young people's venture, gave advice from the experience of their institutions, wished success and offered their help to the future youth parliament, its work and causes.

It turned out that empowerment, awareness of this opportunity and successful use of it is not an easy task at all. The foundations of the parliament and the fulcrums in its "backbone" had been laid, but the work of turning the three days of debates and decisions into a statute remained. The young people also scheduled their next meetings.
