Enter the new TEEN Curator digital exhibition contest, titled The cost of... for high school students, organized by the Museum of Humour and Satire! In it, students from schools in the Gabrovo Region will be able to take on the exciting role of curator and realise their own digital exhibition and concept using images of works from the Museum's digital collection. They will gain knowledge and guidance in curating and its specifics from a specialist in the field before starting the practical implementation.

Do you like visiting museums and galleries? Or maybe you've attended the opening of a new exhibition and felt the attention and respect that the people creating the exhibitions enjoy? Have you wondered what 'curation' is and what its role is in the presentation of art and cultural processes?
The curator is the mediator between the different worlds of the artists, their works, the exhibition spaces (gallery, museum, etc.) and the public. By making exhibitions, catalogues and events, the curator presents the artworks and conveys his understanding of their relevance and significance to the viewers.
The Museum of Humour and Satire challenges you to step into this exciting and artistic role by "creating" your own exhibition in a digital environment with works from our collection. You will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and practical skills in this field, to develop your creativity and critical thinking.
Become part of our contest Teen Curator - individually or as a team (up to 3 people), and create your digital exhibition. You will have the rare privilege to experience the hidden treasures of the Museum.
At your disposal will be 100 works in digital format, including winners of the prestigious Golden Aesop Award of the Gabrovo Biennial.
You will receive knowledge and guidance from professional curators and be able to rely on support and guidance from the museum team.
The theme of the competition is: The cost of ... (everything in this world has a price - it can be energy, time, health, money and many other things).
You can include up to 25 works in the exhibition and you will create your own concept for an exposition with works from the largest collection of humorous and satirical artworks in Bulgaria.
To participate, you must register in the form.
The competition is realized under the project "Creation of space, plan and model for digitalization of cultural values and archive" of the Museum "House of Humour and Satire", funded by the National Culture Fund under the "Programme for Restoration and Development of State, Regional and Municipal Cultural Institutes".
