Twenty-eight teachers from Gabrovo schools were honored at the first ceremony "The Modern Awakeners are Our Teachers". The ceremony was held on November 4 in the lounge of the Racho Stoyanov Drama Theatre and aimed to say "Thank you" to the teachers who young people have recognized as modern awakeners.
Nine of the city's 12 schools participated in the event, each nominating and voting for their favorite teachers in four categories - School Mom, Beautiful Mind, Wise Council and Youth Spirit. However, behind the catchy category names that the young people came up with, there is a very serious relationship of trust, understanding and passed on knowledge and experience. The flowers, the support from the students and the joy in the eyes and voices of the teachers showed this.
The evening began with an excerpt from the performance "Under the Yoke" of the Drama Theatre "Racho Stoyanov", and the program was attended by the dance school "Liana", the actor Anatoly Stavrev with words of the awakener Petar Beron, Petko Koychev and Alexandra Studzinskaya , who sang in duet. The awards were presented by the Deputy Mayor Nevena Mineva, the Head of the RDE - Gabrovo Georgi Marinov and the Gabrovo youth.
At the final there were two surprising additional awards - for Georgi Marinov and for the director of the Drama Theatre "Racho Stoyanov" - Petko Koychev - for their support of the Youth Centre.
